All you need to recreate the traditional Dal Tadka dish with the Chutney Chefs recipe is 10 mins and:

  • A pan
  • Prepared ingredients from Chutney Chefs
    • Fresh, ready to cook Dal (lentils)
    • Tadka Seasoning (Oil, Garlic Cloves, Cumin Seeds & Whole Red Chili Pepper)
    • Fresh coriander for garnishing

In a few easy steps, your Dal Tadka meal will be ready for plating.  All you need to do is:

  1. Heat pan on medium-high flame for 30 seconds.
  2. Pour Tadka mixture onto the pan.
  3. Sautee until the garlic cloves begin to turn golden brown.
  4. Add packet of dal to the mixture with 1/2 cup of water (Caution: oil may splatter) and stir for 3 minutes or until dal thickens to your choice. For milder taste, add 1-2 TBSP of water.
  5. Add garnish.
